Ahh, the honeymoon, whether it be a trip to Vegas or a quiet beach hideaway it will always be remembered as one of the best and most important vacations you've ever gone on. Here's the Wedding Wonderful hotlist of great honeymoons.

NORTH AMERICA AND CARRIBBEAN

Las Vegas, Neveda-- Las Vegas is like nothing else in this world. The lights, the gambling, the shows, the $4.99 prime rib, you'll find it all here in Las Vegas like nowhere else. For the couple who enjoys gambling, seeing shows, and the night life this is the perfect trip.

Orlando, Florida-- Orlando is not just for kids, Walt Disney World and the newer Universal Studios rank as one of the top honeymoon destinations in the world. Not only does Central Florida have the draw of the theme parks, but also plenty of beaches and other attractions. This is the perfect trip for the couple who enjoys roller coaster fun in the sun.

Niagara Falls, New York/ Canada-- Once the classic honeymoon destination, Niagara Falls is still a great choice for couples interested in sightseeing rather than laying on the beach. Both the American and Canadian sides are great, but most of the action, including gambling, occurs on the Canadian side and you have a better view of the falls.

Hawaii-- The main destination of choice for today's honeymooners, Hawaii offers the perfect combination of sightseeing and beach fun. We selected the Big Island of Hawaii for a place on our top ten honeymoon beaches list, but Maui, Oahu, and Molokai are great options too.

New York City-- The everything capitol of the world. New York is full of exciting cultural and sightseeing opportunities. Our pick for the most romantic NYC activity? A moonlight horse and buggy ride in Central Park.

Hilton Head, South Carolina-- Long known for being a golfing mecca, Hilton Head is quickly developing into one of the biggest northeast honeymoon destinations. The Old South is alive and kicking here both architecturally and in terms of hospitality and the white sand beaches are some of the prettiest you'll find in this part of the country.

Poconos, Pennsylvania--Nothing screams heart shaped hot tub more than the Poconos. This once premiere honeymoon destination is still a wonderful choice for couples who want to relax and enjoy the great outdoors mountain style.

Puerto Rico-- Puerto Rico has long been a hot spot for beach loving couples and buffs of history. San Juan is the oldest US-owned capitol city and the whole island is rich in Spanish culture. Nightlife including dancing and casinos abounds.

The Bahamas-- The Bahamas is a string of 700 islands, the most popular of which are located just off the coast of Florida. Nassau, the capitol and any of the beaches on Grand Bahamas Island or Paradise Island are popular with honeymooners. Our Bahamas beach pick? Pink Sands.

Bermuda-- The island of Bermuda and it's infamous "triangle" are located about 500 miles off the coast of North Carolina. This string of 150 islands is famous for it's pink sand beaches and unique pastel architecture. St. George is the

Eva Langoria Talks About Honeymoon

http://www.babble.com/CS/blogs/famecrawler/2008/02/16-22/eva-longoria-pregnant.jpg
Eva Longoria and new hubby NBA star Tony Parker are back to work after a low-key honeymoon in the Carribean. The couple were married in a civil ceremony in Paris July 6, followed the next day by an elaborate church wedding.

Langoria, 32, and her new husband, Parker, 25, say they have a rule in which they refuse to let more than two weeks pass without seeing each other - no matter where they are in the world. Eva’s hit show Desperate Housewives keeps her in L.A. while Tony’s homebase is in San Antonio, Texas with his Spurs team.

Newlywed Eva told People Magazine recently that she and Tony “would love to have kids.” The Housewives star says the couple will teach them all three languages they collectively speak – English, Spanish and French.

HERE ARE A FEW BASIC QUESTIONS TO DISCUSS

*Do we want to get married in the same place we honeymoon?

Destination weddings are growing more popular every day. Marrying in a hotel away from home either alone or with a few friends or family members can save a consider-able amount of money. Also, when you honeymoon in the same hotel, you won’t have to pack after the wedding or run for the airport.

*Do we want to go around the corner or around the world?

Talk about how long your honeymoon can be and arrive at a general budget. This will determine how far you can go.

*Do we want to save or splurge?

This is your trip of a lifetime so it’s the time to splurge with luxury rooms and memory making activities if you can afford it.

*Do we want sunshine or show?

Discuss the climates you like best and choose your destination accordingly. Skiiers who marry in the summer can honeymoon in South America. Sun lovers who marry in the winter can choose from a variety of beach destinations around the world.

*Do we want to learn something new that we can enjoy together?

You might like to combine your honeymoon with a golf, ski or sailing school or a tennis camp to learn a sport that you can enjoy together for the rest of your lives.

*Do we want a cruise, a honeymoon package, an all inclusive resort or a trip tailored just for the two of us?

Each of these options has advantages. Choose the one that matches your dreams. Cruises make honeymooning easy. The ship is your home away from home and meals and most on board activities are included in the cost. When choosing a cruise line make sure that you ask if there are tables for two in the dining room and check out different categories of state rooms. Read brochures carefully and if there is a particular port of call that you want to explore, make sure that the ship will be there long enough to see it.

Honeymoon packages, available from hotels, airlines and tour wholesalers are designed with romance in mind. They often include special perks that other packages do not. When booking a hotel, ask if there are special honeymoon packages.

All inclusive resorts include most meals, sports equipment and tips. Some include all liquor and bar charges as well as other special activities. Read the small print or ask your Travel Agent to make sure exactly what is included in the price. Some packages include round trip airfare. Others do not.

If you have special dreams and want a trip tailored to your wishes and pace, you can work with a Travel Agent to make sure that everything you dreamed of is built in.

*What are your honeymoon dreams and fantasies?

Talk about them and you will be able to make most of them come true!

Honeymoon is a private and intimate time for the newly wed couple.

Honeymoon is a private and intimate time for the newly wed couple. It is a special time for the new marriage to set down its roots… the only vacation you will ever take that has such meaning and significance to the most important relationship of your life. It is a time to shut out the world for a while, to look only at each other and to know that if each other is all you ever have, it will be more than enough.

A honeymoon is not just getting away from people and not just a vacation. It helps in establishing the new marriage. Honeymoon is casting off of your old life and the beginning of the new one. A honeymoon literally means going away, symbolically and physically, from everybody one knows to a place where no one knows them and where the newly wed could stay together and know more about each other and establish long lasting bond.

Wedding brings two people together physically but honeymoon confirms it and sets the tone for how intimate and passionate the rest of years together will be.

Your honeymoon needs to be perfect because it comes in a lifetime. It has be planned properly so that your wife feels special and pampered. A perfectly arranged honeymoon shows that the honeymoon will work out in the right way if you take good care of the planning for the honeymoon. It must be always kept in the mind that the honeymoon should be such that your wife cherishes it throughout her life. So begin planning your honeymoon by finding a quiet space and time to seriously discuss with your wife and agree upon a budget. When you do your calculations, make sure you take everything into account: transportation ticket prices for air, sea or ground travel, port fees, car, taxi, food snacks, meals, in-room service, entertainment entry fees, passes, tickets, shopping gifts for yourselves and those at home, and miscellaneous items.

Mistakes To Avoid On Your Honeymoon

http://zoo.parkingspa.com/dspa/hcimages/nonadult/travel-adult/main.jpg

1. Don't sweat it.

It's your honeymoon, not a Broadway production and certainly not the Normandy invasion. Yes, you're going to need to do some planning to have a fun and safe trip, but more than one honeymoon has been killed by an overzealous planner. Even if the whole honeymoon is a disaster, you've still got each other...not to mention the rest of your lives to travel together, and to laugh about your honeymoon mishaps.

2. Don't blow off planning.

Life's all about balance, isn't it? So you don't want to make your honeymoon into a do-or-die production, but a reasonable amount of planning can save you a lot of money—and a lot of trouble—in the long run. First, if you aren't experienced travelers, get some general travel advice from good travel guides, either in your local library or online. (You can begin at our Travel Guides page.) Next, read up about your destination in professionally written guides. (See our Destination Guides page.) Finally, find out as much as you can from others who have actually been to your destination—either friends or family, or people who have posted their honeymoon stories online.

3. Don't go into debt.

Yes, it's your honeymoon, and it should be memorable and romantic...but you don't have to spend anything (or at least not much) to create memories and romance. So resist the temptation to splurge on the ultimate honeymoon, especially if it means you'll be going into debt to do so—double especially if it means racking up credit card debt. Money issues are one of the leading causes of tension for married couples, and you don't want to start out your married life worrying about how to pay off your $10,000 credit card bill for that honeymoon tour of Europe. (For money-saving tips, see our Cheap Honeymoon Ideas section.)

4. Don't wait too long to book your destination.

You know how reception sites tend to fill up as much as a year in advance? The same is often true when it comes to the most popular honeymoon destinations. Even if a destination has lots of accommodations (think Vegas or Hawaii), the best ones—and the best deals—fill up early. You will need to apply for your passport (or renew it) well in advance of your departure date, too. So narrow down the possibilities for your honeymoon as soon as possible, and do a little research to find out how early you have to make reservations.
